Top Five Nail Polish for Summer

Summer has come! I love summer! So I can wear clothes with lovely colour - mint grey, pink, white! All sort of summery colour! Not only clothes, but also my nail can wear pretty nail polish as well. I have a crazy shopping at Chanel and Topshop today and see what I found!

The above nail polishes are what I would like to introduce to you: -

No 1: Chanel Sweet Lilac - Chanel never disappoint me! This colour is the best! It is elegant and soft! It can match with clothes with both sharp and pale colour. Basically, it can match with everything. I LOVE it! However, it is quite expensive HKD190 / bottle. So, I would only drop by to Chanel when I want to give myself a NICE treat. As this colour is quite pale, so I will need to apply two to three coat before I can reach the colour tone that I like. Chanel nail polish can stay for 3 to 4 days, that is why I love it!

No 2: TopShop (blue) - Topshop makeup price is quite fair. This is why I can shop for an hour just to choose their nail polish. I particularly like their polka dot pattern nail polish bottle, it is really cute and it always stand out when I put them with other nail polishes. The price for Topshop nail polish is tricky. HKD98 for two bottle. That mean you would "unintentionally" buy more that you normally would. (It is just another GOOD excuses for me. DOUBLE YEAH!)  I like Topshop nail polish not only because of their fair price, but also the easiness in application. I only need to apply one coat and the beautiful colour is done in my nail and it drys quickly. What's more can I say about a less than HKD50/bottle nail polish with such an amazing performance?! Talking about this blue colour. I absolutely love it. I think it matches perfectly with white clothes and spice up the doubt look of white. :)

No 3: Topshop (baby pink)- If you have read my post before, you know how much I love pink. I always think a pale baby pink suits my charter, however, I bought few baby pink nail polish before, I don't feel quite right. The reason I give it a goal again is that it has some white dot inside. Pink and white is always a friend colour. It reminds me of my wedding too. So I give it a try to see if it works. I works perfectly. It is not doubt, it is funny and different from other nail polish! Very innovative! Good Job!

No 4: Topshop (Mint Grey) - This one is similar to the pink one with white dot. I'm dying for a mint grey nail polish for a long time.  I would like to buy this colour without any hesitation. However, to be honest, if I have a second chance, I think I would buy the one without white dots. Mint grey nail with white dot is a bit strange. It better off without the dot dot.

No 5: Topshop (Navy Blue) -  Few weeks ago, when I saw a blogger (viviannamakeup) wear a navy blue nail polish. I thought (OMG, I need to have it!) I try to find some similar colour, I noted that Chanel sells similar colour as well, however, as it is a dark colour, I'm not 100% sure I would love it and the investment of HKD190 for an uncertain colour is not worth it. So I drop that idea and go for a Topshop one! Another good point for Topshop, it gives me a chance to do "try and error".  When I apply it on my nail, I think: Um.... Maybe the Navy Blue colour is to sharp with a dark blue. Sharp but dark. um.. It is quite manly and I can't think of any dress or clothes that works would work with nail colour at the moment. Maybe when I wear a sailor style clothes, it may work. I may not be able to wear this a work as well. So, I don't know, I may leave it for a while and maybe someday I can work it out and found that it is lovely.

It is just some of my comments regarding my view on nail polish, you may have completely different idea or feel toward the colour. Nail polish manicure is an art. There is no right from wrong, it only has love or drop.  This is the colour that I love for this summer, I hope you are too!

Talk to you in my next post! :)

Little Tips for Cooking Nando's Chicken

I have been obsessed in watching English You Tuber vlogging their life. They love going to Nando's for dinner and this reminds me how much I love eating Nando's chicken when I was in the UK. I have cooked Nando's chickens for a few times and I have some little tips on how to make a homemade crispy Nando's chicken like the real one! Trust me, it's not just the source that can make it works. ;)

Nando's Chicken

Ingredient for Crispy Nando's Chicken:
23 Chicken Wings
1 pick of Nando's Chicken Herbs
Few pieces of towel papers

Step 1: Wash the chicken. You never know where does it put before you buy it from the supermarket.
Step 2: Use a towel paper to try to remove as much water as possible. This is an important step for a CRISPY chicken wing.
Step 3:  Mix the Nando's herbs with the chicken.

Step 4: Use a sharp knife to pierced the chicken to try making the herbs into the center of the chicken wings. This way, you can taste the Nando's herbs inside out.
Step 5: Put it in  a dry area for half an hours or more to let the chicken absorbs the herbs.

Step 6: Place the chicken wing onto the oven tray. Don't put it on a big bowl with each chicken wing on top of the other. This can help the chicken oil spread out and ensure the chicken is not overwhelmed with oil, soften and not crispy.
Step 7: Preheat the oven to 220C and bake it for 20 mins. After 20 mins, remove the excessive oil from the tray and bake for another 10 mins until the chickens are in golden colour.

* Nando's Chicken in my mouth! * :)

My Work Cloth Haul

1) Grey Jacket from GAP: Absolutely LOVE it. It is nicely fit and my husband said I look smart  with the jacket on. I think it can easily match with everything too.
2) White Jacket: I was inspired by Viannadoesmakeup. She has a lovely Topshop white jacket and look very spring feel smart causal look which I really fancy. It perfectly match with mint green clothes.
3) Pink Blue Top: A week ago, my best friend and I bought a pink blue scarf and we would that pink not only can match with grey (which is absolutely lovely), but only can match with blue. When I picked up this clothes, I know I have to buy it with no doubt. It looks special and I think it would look great together with white or pale blue trousers.
4) Grey Dress: I saw this dress last week, I didn't buy it. I go home and dream about wearing it. I know I have to have it. It is perfectly fit.
5) White Top: This top can match with pale blue, mint green, pink or dark trousers. White clothes can simply match with everything. It can dressed up by wearing dark trousers or dress down by wearing jean. I am sure it will become one of my favourite!

I will start wearing it and will do "My Working Look of the Day" blog from Monday on so you can have an idea of how I wear it. :)

Gift Idea - New Package of Umbrella

I'm not sure if you aware, there is a growing trend of having an umbrella placed into a lovely bag (like the one as shown in the picture). I really LOVE this idea.

The other day, my friend gave me a lovely present. I thought it was just a bag for me to put some make up items on. When I touched it, I felt that there was an umbrella inside! Wooo.. how amazing is it?! The umbrella is actually from ans with floral print on it. You know how much I love floral. So this is kind of the things that I dream of.

If you fancy having a beautiful umbrella bag like this, you should go there to have a look.

Mothers' Day

Today is Mother's Day in Hong Kong. Our family has planned a really lovely family event.

1) Going to a museum
2) Nice dinner out at the place my mum and dad 1st date.

We have a lovely time spent for the day. :)

Food Shopping - We have a lot of public holidays over the past few weeks. I get to spend many time with my husband. We like cooking food at home, so hanging around in the market is one of our favourite activity during the time we don't need to work.

Hooking with Computer - Besides that, I most likely sitting in front of my computer, looking for the information I need or watching youtube videos.  I have been also obsessed with watching the TV shows called " Mistresses". It is soooo good. Season 2 will return in Jun. I can't wait to watch it. If you haven't seen it already, go check it out. You will be hooked and can't get it off until it finished. It has 13 esp in total I think. It took me less than one weekend to watch the whole series. Crazy!

Nando's Chicken - If you have been reading my blog, you may already know that my husband is coming from England. He loves Nando's! Unfortunately, Nando's does not make his appearance in Hong Kong. We are lucky enough to have our UK friends bring some Nando's sauce (actually TASTE also sell this sauce) from UK to HK. We try to cook Nando's chicken, sweet corns and rices in one plate, hoping it looks exactly like the one in Nando's. I admit the chicken baked in the oven is much better than cooking in the pan. It is soooooo yummy and taste exactly the same as we ate in the UK. We are sooooooo happy! :)

Five Mixed Flower Herbal Tea - My mother has brought me a bottom of herbal tea the other day. The tea as stated in the title is is a Chinese (Guang Dong to be specific) traditional tea. The flowers in the tea are Lonicera Japonica, Chrysanthemum, Bomax ceiba etc). We normally drink it when we have a smelly mouth, constipation and to prevent heatiness in the body and turns out to be flur. For me, it is some kind of healthy drink and I feel so loved that my mummy always treat me and my husband so well.
